ASCE Day 2023
India Section-Southern Region celebrated ASCE’s day and 171th anniversary on November 5, 2023 with 171 planted saplings. The event was done in collaboration with the SRM Institute of Science and Technology and the ASCE SRM Student Chapter.
Sapling Planting Event
The event began with an introduction from the Head of the Civil Department, Dr. Jiji Antony and the Vice Principal, Dr. Mini, who spoke about the importance of preserving the environment and the role that students can play in achieving this goal.
Rows of planted saplings
The saplings were planted in a manner that ensured their survival, and the participants were encouraged to take care of the saplings and monitor their growth.
